Glorious, Gading Nite Carnival
The 7th Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival (JFFF) held in Kelapagading by PT. Summarecon Tbk together with City Dept. of Tourism was glorious. Presenting Gading Nite Carnival themed masquerade enlivened by as many as 500 participants mostly from Jember, East Java, Saturday night (5/22), the event amazed teens of thousand of visitors on Jl Boulevard Raya, Kelapagading, North Jakarta.
Jakarta Vice Governor Prijanto officially openedGading Nite Carnival centralized in the main stage on Jl Boulevard Raya, Kelapagading, right in front of La Piazza Mall.
Prijanto stated his high appreciation for JFFF 2010 event. The event was a regular agenda in the ‘Calendar of Event’ to develop Jakarta and Indonesia tourism industry. “Jakarta needs a lot of attractions to promote the city as a destination of culture and tourism,” said Prijanto.
The event was an effort to enhance people’s creativity. It would support the positive image of Jakarta Capital City in the era of intercity competition. “Thus, synergy of all stakeholders is needed to build Jakarta’s superiority and competitiveness in the international level,” he added.
Sofian Haryanto (41), a resident of Kelapa Nias Blok A, Kelapagading, took his family to watch JFFF 2010.
“I am happy because it is an alternative entertainment for people. This kind of event could add the attractiveness of tourism in Jakarta, and moreover, Kelapagading is a tourist destination for shopping and culinary,” said Haryanto.
Besides 500 participants, the event was celebrated by fireworks which decorated the sky for 15 minutes.
