After succeeding in holding the Jakarta International Film Festival (Jiffest), the city will hold similar event which is themed “Jakarta International Movie Fair.” But the latter will be held in 2011. We have to be patient for that one.
“At present we are still creating the concept. I don’t want to tell any information yet because it is still unpublished. It is an idea of our governor, Fauzi Bowo,” said Yenny Rachman, Chairwoman of Indonesian Artist Association (PARFI), after the meeting with the meeting in City Hall on Monday (2/8).
The achiever of two Piala Citra on her film Kabut Sutra Ungu (1979) and Gadis Marathon (1981) said that International Movie Fair will be more complete from Jiffest.
Jiffest only holds movie parade but Jakarta International Movie Fair will hold not only movie parade but also symposium, market film and international jury assessment.
“The event just like Indonesia Film Festival in an international packaging because there will be many international movies,” said Yenny Rachman.
