Emmanuel Church
The Emmanuel Church which originally called Willemskerk, is located at Jalan Merdeka Timur No. 10, Gambir, Central Jakarta. The architecture of this church building is a neoclassic design influenced by Roman element. It was built between 1835-1839, with the laying of the first stone of August 24, 1835 and the inauguration on August 24, 1839 (24th August referred to the birth of the Dutch King Willem van Orange/William of Orange). The naming of Emmanuel for this church began in 1948. This is Protestant church of Lutheran.
