Dodol

Dodol, most of you should be familiar with this one. A traditional betawi food, dodol (fudge like sweet) made from glutinous rice, palm sugar and coconut milk. Commonly find during Betawi festival, eid Fitr or weddings.
 
In making dodol, the males are usually tasked with peeling coconuts and stirring the thick flour mixture until it's cooked and oily while the women prepare all the ingredients, like pounding glutinous rice until it turns to powder.
