Celebrate Republic of Indonesia Anniversary, Jakarta Holds Festival of Lights Up to Puppet Show border-pentas-wayang/

Reporter: Sabik Aji Taufan - The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta through the Jakarta City Governmentf Tourism and Culture Office (Disparbud) will hold many events to commemorate the 74th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. In addition to parading Soekarno's first Presidential car, there will also be other art performances.
Head of  Jakarta City Governmentf Tourism and Culture Office, Edy Junaedi, said that the puppet museum as well as the fine arts and ceramics museum will hold special attractions to welcome Indonesia's independence. The event will be held on August 17 at the Field of Romsol Wijaya Kusuma, Koramil 03 / GP, West Jakarta.
"The Puppet Museum presents puppet shows in public spaces in the form of shadow puppets with the Kresno Sayemboro play played by puppeteer Ki Pandu Gandang S," Edy said in his written statement on Saturday (8/10).
As for the fine arts and ceramics museum, it is planned to hold a flagship exhibition with the theme 'Aesthetic Diplomatic Physical Revolution'. This event takes place from 8 - 31 August 2019.
"The exhibition will also be filled with talk shows, workshops, and degrees of artistic creativity for students," Edy added.
The National Monument (Monas) as an icon of Jakarta also did not miss enlivening the anniversary of Indonesia's independence. Festival of Light will be held here from August 15-25, 2019. This event will also repeat the success of video mapping at the location during the 2018 Asian Games.
"This time the citizens of Jakarta will be presented again with the beauty of Monas at night, in addition to video mapping Monas will also be beautified by colorful lanterns and laser shows at the fountain," concluded Edy.
Shifting to the Eastern region of Jakarta, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMMI) will hold a culinary bazaar Festival of PKK ladies on August 18, 2018 at the Jakarta Provincial Pavilion. The entire series of events is expected to be a magnet in itself to increase tourist visits to Jakarta.
