The Prince Jayakarta Cemetery Area will be built by a small business center

Jakarta (Antara) - The East Jakarta City Government will present a center for micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in the area around Pangeran Jayakarta's cemetery in Jatinegara Kaum, Klender, East Jakarta.
Head of the East Jakarta Tourism and Culture Office, Iwan Wardhana, said in Jakarta on Tuesday that he would develop the Prince Jayakarta tomb area not only as a religious and historical tourist attraction, but also as an economic center for UMKM entrepreneurs.
"Prince Jayakarta's cemetery is a religious plus historical attraction, as well as a center for UMKM for souvenirs from Jakarta," he said
According to Iwan, until now, Prince Jayakarta's cemetery is still quite popular as a tourist attraction and many visitors visit it, especially at certain times such as Ramadan and Syawal.
He hoped, after the planned expansion of the tourist attraction was completed, revenue in the Tourism sector at the East Jakarta level could increase.
"The level of the economy and the income of the surrounding community will also be better," he said.
It is targeting that the land acquisition process can be completed by 2019.
"2020 starts the arrangement and development of the region," he said
The tomb of Prince Jayakarta is a religious tourist destination for visitors who come on pilgrimage.
Not only the community, the cemetery located inside the Jami Mosque area 'Assalafiayah Jatinegara Kaum, Klender, East Jakarta is also often attended by officials.
On Monday (6/17) East Jakarta Mayor M Anwar, together with a number of East Jakarta City Government officials, made a pilgrimage to the Prince Jayakarta cemetery in order to welcome the 492th Jakarta Capital City Anniversary.
