The 2019 Jakarnaval Parade Held Promotes the "New Face" of the capital

Jakarta (Antara) - The 2019 Jakarnaval parade which is held in the framework of the 492th anniversary of the City of Jakarta seeks to promote the "new face" of the Capital City which is continuing to build.
The Head of the  Jakarta City Government Tourism and Culture Office, Edy Junaedi, in Jakarta, just explained the Jakarnaval theme, "The New Face of Jakarta", taking into account the latest conditions in Jakarta which are constantly undergoing changes through various developments.
"We also hope that Jakarnaval activities can attract domestic and foreign tourists and become the entertainment of Jakarta residents," he said.
Jakarnaval 2019 participants supported by the Ministry of Tourism are expected to enliven 5000 participants, ranging from walking parades to ornamental vehicles.
One of the routes for Thamrin and Sudirman was to show new developments in Jakarta starting from the JPO in Dukuh Atas to the MRT.
Furthermore, Edy explained that the 2019 Jakarnaval will be celebrated by marching bands, parades of walking people, colossal dance, artists, and followed by a parade of ornamental vehicles.
Recorded until the closing of registration on June 21, 2019, there are around 30 ornamental vehicles from 5 regions and 1 district and 5000 participants who will participate in the 2019 Jakarnaval. The parade will be conducted from City Hall to Bundara HI on Sunday, June 30, 2019 and closed with entertainment stage at Monas.
Some who will appear include the Ondel-ondel Community, the Carnival Community, arable and traditional dance, Abang None Jakarta, the Cosplayer Community, the Acrobat Clown Community, and the decorative car vehicles.
This event will take place from 03.00 - 06.00 p.m  and will be opened by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan in the front stands of City Hall.
A number of capitalist musicians such as Krisdayanti, Iwa K, Irma Darmawangsa, and Ada Band will perform to enliven the entertainment stage at Monas from 07.00 - 10.00 p.m.
The parade route will be divided into 2, which is a walking parade that will start from Silang Merdeka Tenggara past the front of Jakarta City Hall, leading to MH  Thamrin road, turning at the front intersection of Bangkok Bank to return to the National Monument.
While the parade of ornamental vehicles will start from Silang Merdeka Tenggara past the front of Jakarta City Hall, leading to Jalan MH. Thamrin, and ends at the HI Roundabout.
The Governor of DKI Jakarta Province, Anies Baswedan invited all citizens of Jakarta to participate and enjoy the whole series of events that will be held and supported by various works of the nation's children, so that in the future they will further advance the economy of Jakarta with locally made creative products.
