Editor: Alexander Haryanto - The number of tourist visitors in DKI Jakarta increased compared to last year, which reached 318,070 people on the second day of Eid (6/6/2019). This was stated by the Head of the Jakarta City Government Tourism and Culture Office Edy Junaedi.
"The number of visits on the second day of Eid al-Fitr in 2019 was 318,070 visitors, up from 2018 when the Idul Fitri second day of Eid holiday was only 112,161 visitors," Edy said in a written statement on Friday (06/06/2019).
This number, said Edy, does not include the Planetarium and Ragunan. Because, it has not received information on the number of tourists visiting the two places.
According to Edy, the community really took advantage of the second day of Eid ul-Fitr for a vacation, moreover a number of tourist areas were closed on the first day of Eid. For today, said Edy, the Jakarta History Museum is open until 20:00.
Edy also predicted that there would be an increase in the number of visitors in the following days.
"Tourist area visitors will increase, because some tourist destinations are still the belle of Jakarta residents to spend holidays. In addition, several attractions have been prepared in the tourist area," said Edy.
The following is the data on the number of visitors for each tourist destination counted by the Tourism Office:
1. Ancol was visited by 93,545 visitors
2. National Monument Area, as many as 90,174 visitors. A total of 13,849 visitors entered the monas monument
3. The Old City area today records 65,868 visitors
4. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah 26,893 visitors.
5. Thousand Island 10,151 visitors
