Jakarta: Still in the excitement of the 492th Anniversary of the City of Jakarta, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Jakarta City Government Tourism and Culture office, held the 2019 Jakarnaval. This event was a series of activities as well as the peak of the 492th Anniversary of Jakarta City .
The Jakarnaval parade with the theme Face Baru Jakarta is held on Sunday, June 30, 2019. The parade starts from City Hall towards the HI Roundabout.
At Jakarnaval, the cultural parade and decorative vehicles will be followed by the Ondel-ondel Community, Carnival Community, Traditional and Traditional Dance, Abang None Jakarta, Cosplayer Community, Acrobat Clown Community, and decorative car vehicles. The parade will be closed with an entertainment stage held at Monas.
This event will take place from 15:00 to 18:00 WIB and will be opened by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan in the front stands of City Hall. A number of Capital City musicians, such as Krisdayanti, Iwa K, Irma Dharmawangsa and ADA Band also performed to enliven the entertainment stage at Monas from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Later, there are two parade routes to be passed. That is the parade on foot, where it starts from Silang Merdeka Tenggara and passes in front of the City Hall, leading to Jalan MH. Thamrin. Then turn to the front intersection of Bangkok Bank to return to the National Monument.
While for ornamental vehicles, it will start from Silang Merdeka Tenggara passing in front of Jakarta City Hall, leading to Jl. MH Thamrin, and ends at HI Roundabout.
"We expect the participants of 2019 Jakarnaval to be around 5000 participants, from walking parades to floats. This activity is also supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism. We hope that Jakarnaval activities can attract domestic and foreign tourists and become entertainment for Jakarta residents," said Edy Junaedi, Head of Jakarta City Government Tourism and Culture Office.
Meanwhile the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province, Anies Baswedan invited all citizens of Jakarta to participate and enjoy the entire series of events held. He also hopes that citizens will support a variety of Jakarta's children's works by our nation, so that in the future they will further advance the economy in Jakarta with locally made creative products.
