Eid Holiday, Thousands Tourists Visit Tidung Island
Thousands tourists go on vacation to Tidung Island, South Thousand Islands, in this year's Eid holiday.
On last Friday (6/7), total 14,001 tourists have arrived in Thousand Islands. From that amount, 1,300 tourists have arrived in Tidung Island using 8 passenger speed boats and traditional passenger boats. They were departed from Kaliadem Port, Tanjung Pasir Port, Rawasaban Port, and Ancol Port.
"Total 14,275 tourists have visited Thousand Islands during Eid holiday or from May 31 to June 8," said Thousand Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-department Head, Cucu Ahmad Kurnia, on Saturday (6/8).
Tidung Urban Village Head, Cecep Suryadi added, there are more than 1,500 tourists who arrived in Tidung Island this afternoon.
In order to anticipate increase in visitors,
he deploys more Satpol PP and PPSU personnel in tourist destinations to secure the area and maintain its cleanliness. 
"Because today is the last day of Eid holiday, we predict there will be more tourist to arrive today than the days before," he mentioned.
He also instructs personnel to monitor and remind tourists not to litter and keep the area clean.
