Disparbud Targets International Tourist Visits to DKI Jakarta Reach 2.9 Million This Year

TRIBUNJAKARTA.COM, MENTENG – The Jakarta City Government Tourism and Culture Office targets foreign tourist arrivals to reach 2.9 million people this year.
This was stated by Jakarta City Government Tourism and Culture Foreign Promotion Section Chief Sherly Yuliana when met by
"This year the target is 2.9 million foreign tourists," Sherly Yuliana said on Thursday (3/21/2019). Last year, foreign tourist visits to Jakarta reached 2.8 million visits. To achieve this target, various types of promotions are carried out.
Among them through tourism exhibitions and involved in exhibitions at the Super design Show which will be held in Milan on 7-14 April 2019.
"For that, one of them is in addition to a tourism exhibition, this is the first time we have promoted Betawi culture at the world's largest and oldest exhibition but in the field of contemporary art. So we promote Betawi culture at different events," Sherly added.
According to him, the exhibition will combine traditional and modern elements at once.
"So there is a mix of places to meet in this traditional cultural event in combination with modernity through technology. Like mapping combined with Betawi dance, we will also bring a special arts team to dance Betawi dances during the exhibition," said the Head of Overseas Promotion Section Jakarta tourism and culture service
