400 Asian Games Athletes Will Visit Setu Babakan
400 athletes competing in the Asian Games XVIII will visit Betawi Culture Village (UN) Setu Babakan, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. Currently, various preparations are being made to welcome the arrival of athletes from various countries.
South Jakarta Mayor Marullah Matali hopes that the visit of Asian Games athletes will be able to promote Setu Babakan as a cultural tourism destination in the capital city. "Approximately 400 athletes will come to Setu Babakan on 26 August," he said on Wednesday (18/7).
Marullah also wants Setu Babakan in the future can be a tourist destination for foreign tourists. Because not only culture, in Setu Babakan also presents nature tourism that is still beautiful. "The athletes can find that this is a good destination to visit, many things they can see like the natural atmosphere of Jakarta," he said.
He added, before the visit of Asian Games athletes, in Setu Babakan will be held Lebaran Betawi. So far, he and his manager Setu Babakan is trying to do the arrangement maximally. "Lebaran Betawi will be the test case for the welcoming of athletes in Setu Babakan," he said. As is known, to welcome the athletes of the Asian Games, PBB managers Setu Babakan prepare a mass dance. It is targeted that there will be 1,000 dancers involved.
