Batavianese Mask Dance

Batavianese Mask Dance is usually perfomed as the body guard of batavianese Mask Perfomance, even if they can also perform by them self. That dance is the Mask Flower Dance, Single Mask Dance or Mask Kedok Dance or New Kedok and Mask Ronggeng Dance. In Mask Flower Dance, the dancer did not wear any mask. Mask or New Kedok used in Topeng Kedok dance or single mask dance. There are 3 masks used. Each colors are white, red and black. Three of them had their own character that is Subadra, Srikandi and Jingga.  Costume of Batavianese Mask dances or “Mask Ronggeng” consist of “flower” (had accessories mad of cloth) with “tekes” shape, “toka-toka” (2 pieces of cloths as the cover for chest and back), “ampok” or “ampeng” (stomach cover), kebaya clothing with short sleeves, long batik cloths, wrap and andong.
