At'Tin Mosque

Mosque in Batavia has decoration that is similar to traditional house. There are a temu tumpal decorations in many variety. There are tapak dara flower decorations. There are also an oval decorations, and half-circle mute. In the wind holes, there are full circle mute.

At – Tin Mosque is one of two magnificient mosque in the area of TMII. Another mosque is Diponegoro Mosque. Giving name of At- Tin is actually an attempt to commemorate the services of former President Soeharto’s wife named Ibu Tien or complete Hj.Fatimah Siti Hartinah Soeharto.. The Mosque established in April 1997, occupies a land area of 70.000 square meters with capacity of about 9.000 people inside and 1.850 people in closed galleries and plazas. The construction of At’Tin was completed in 1999 and launch on November, 26th 1999. This mosque is near from First Gate, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, East Jakarta.
 
Architecture At-Tin Mosque has its own uniqueness and distinctiveness, both in terms of building architecture, ornaments, as well as interior and Exterior Design. The architect of this mosque wants to highlight the curve of arrows on the wall in almost all the corners and ornaments that decorate it. The grooves of this arrow are clearly visible on the front of the mosque from the entrance. That way, tourists who visit this mosque will be able to see freely the curves of the arrows are displayed, before entering the mosque.
