In 1998 the house on Jalan Raya Raya No.19 Cilandak Barat South Jakarta was handed over to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Directorate General of Culture cq. Directorate of Museum. Two-storey house building area of + - 600 m2 and land area + - 450 m2. The house was later renovated to function as a museum. On September 25, 2001 Museum Basoeki Abdullah inaugurated by the Minister of Culture and Tourism Drs. I Gede Ardika.
Collection of Museum Basoeki Abdullah consists of a collection of paintings and personal collection painter Basoeki Abdullah in the form of statues, masks, puppets, weapons and so forth. The number of collections of museums that are granted based on the existing data is 123 pieces, while the personal collection (goods and art objects) belongs to Basoeki Abdullah as much as 720 pieces, and books / magazines + - 3000 pieces.
The Museum of Basoeki Abdullah serves the community by holding exhibitions, seminars, researches and workshops, and publishing various forms of publication in the form of catalogs, biographies, collections of articles, and research results and from a series of other activities.
