Bahari Museum
Maritime Museum is a museum that holds collections related to the kebaharian and kenelayanan of Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke which is located opposite the Sunda Kelapa Harbor. The museum is one of eight museums under the supervision of the Cultural Department of the Provincial Museum of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta.
The collections are stored consisting of various types of traditional boats with different shapes, styles and decorations, until the VOC era ship. In addition there are various models and miniature modern ships and supporting equipment for shipping activities. Also equipment used by sailors in the past such as navigation tools, anchors, binoculars, lighthouse models and cannons.
Maritime Museum also displays a collection of marine biota, data types and distribution of fish in the waters of Indonesia and various equipment and stories and traditional songs of fishermen community of Nusantara. The museum also features TNI AL, cartographic collections, Onrust Island mockups, maritime archipelago archipelago as well as ship trip KPM Batavia - Amsterdam.
  • The museum's visit is 09.00 - 15.00 WIB, from Tuesday to Sunday. On school holidays, the museum remains open
