JAKARTA - Welcoming the 74th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta City Government Tourism and Culture Office (Disparbud) has prepared various events at leading tourist destinations and museums.
Head of Jakarta City Government Tourism and Culture Office, Edy Junaedi, said that the event was deliberately held to attract the interest of people visiting tourist destinations and museums in Jakarta, as well as providing alternative entertainment.
"Some events in the museum also have the theme of struggle and independence, because one of the functions of the museum is as an educational medium," Edy said, Saturday (10/8).
Edy explained, on August 15, 2019, the group of men who would recite the proclamation would visit the Soekarno and Hatta Exile Museum in Rengasdengklok.

According to him, for the Puppet Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics will also hold special activities to commemorate Indonesia's Independence Day.
The Wayang Museum presents wayang kulit performances in public spaces with the puppeteer Ki Pandu Gandang S who will perform the "Kresno Sayemboro" play at Romsol Wijaya Kusuma Field, Koramil 03 / GP, West Jakarta.
"The puppet show will be held on August 17, 2019," he said.
He added, for the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics a leading exhibition was held with the theme "Aesthetic Diplomatic Physical Revolution" from 8 to 31 August 2019.

He said, for the Monas tourist destination a Festival of Light will be held from August 15-25, 2019, repeating the success of the Monas video maping during the 2018 Asian Games.
"This time Jakarta residents will be presented with the beauty of Monas again at night. In addition to video mapping, Monas will also be beautified by colorful lanterns and laser displays at fountains," said Edy.
Edy said, the Tourism and Culture Service Sub-Department (Sudin Parbud) also helped enliven the music stage.
The Thousand Islands Regency Parbud Sudin held a musical performance titled "Red and White Concert" on Pramuka Island on August 17, 2019 with the main guest star Wali Band.
Meanwhile, East Jakarta Parbud Sub-dept. Held the BKT Festival on 18 August 2019 at the East Flood Canal, Rawadas, Pondok Kopi.
