Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama spreads 4,000 seeds of grouper fish on three islands that located in Seribu Islands Regency. It is to support fish farming in Seribu Islands.
"This program is hoped can be applied in all regions in Indonesia. The first harvest from fish seeds to be cultivated is predicted in February 2017," expressed Basuki, in Pramuka Island, Tuesday (9/27).
He went on the say that, to develop fishery cultivation, there have been eight students of fishery school who ready to help.
"Eventually, they will be agents of change for the citizens to switch from catcher profession into fish farmer," he said.
From that program, the government makes a system for the result. With 80 percent is for cultivation and 20 percent for the government.
"Besides seed, we also give nets and feed," he told.
It will be done on Panggang, Karang Lebar and Semak Daun islands. It will get assistance from Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept.
